scrolling up or down appears in frames in IE 6 instead of a visually smooth
page ups and downs. Does anyone know why and how to fix it? I've just done a

  when in any programme and i get a dropdown box and i click on the option
  it freezes then i get message,  SORRY INTERNET EXPLORER HAS ENCOUNTERED A

window. Now they open in a small rectangular shape and none of the

A windows update ran automatically the other day.
Since then I have been unable to use Internet Explorer. The browser opens
but will not connect to any site.
All other programs work, ie: Firefox, mail, google earth, iTunes(store).
