This relates to a closing down problem using XP Home SP2 and all updates. PC is Athlon XP2400 with 1GB of memory. Recently when closing down I am seeing a dialog box saying IXEPLORE is closing then not responding, sometime I have to click on "end now" many times

I'm having issues with IE 6.0 shutting down when I do anything. It happens randomly, but usually when I hit the Back button, sometimes when I click a link (i.e. within a story), and even when I click a Favorite link. This started late last week, and is happening more frequently.

I've had some problems and did a clean reinstall of XP. Updated everything. But IE 6 seems to be the default browser. IE7 does show on the Software to be uninstalled... list. Shall I uninstall it and then do a re-install? Or is there another way of running it?

I am unable to access a couple of websites - I get the usual 'site not found' kind of message if I go thorugh a link via a browser. If I type the address in the URL bar - I get a invalid syntax message. The websites are www.thomascook.com and www.manchesterairport.co.uk. I

I had IE6 which was working fine - you click on a link and it changes t a darker color to indicate the link had been clicked on. This i particularly useful for searching on Google, browsing websites etc. s you know what you have already clicked on.

After installing a Microsoft XP automatic update on August 11, 2006, I now get a warning that says "This page has an unspecified potential security flaw. Do you want to continue?" when I try to open zip files with Winzip 8.0. Any ideas how to stop this? It happens every time. ...

I have one user with a home computer running W2K Pro and IE 6.0.x. The user can open IE and browse the internet. However, if a website is opened and then anything within the website is opened, IE locks up, crashes and closes and the internet provider's splash screen pops up.
