Even though I have turned off "Playing sounds in webpage" I still get audio. Both IE6 with latest updates and IE7 fail to stop auto from playing. For example www.espn.com Firefox does not have this problem. Bring up firefox to the above url I see

There are a couple of sites I use that have login access. They also have reports I can view, but these open in a new window. However, when the new window opens, instead of my report it is asking me to log in, then when I log in I just get to the site not the report.

I am using IE 6.0 running on XP Pro. The bhe browser hangs after several minutes' use, particularly when accessing photos or videos. Sometimes, the OS hangs as well. Any help would be appreciated.

when IE was first installed I could enter an address like this: COMPUSA hit CTRL-ENTER and http://www.COMPUSA.com was inserted. In other words, IE automatically added the Http and .com info. (saves a lot of typing)

I have had my tools/internet options/advanced settings to enable "empty temp internet files when browser is closed" ON since as long as I can remember, and it remains on now. I just checked and I have temp internet files still in there from as far back as January 2006-- so obviously ...

I am setting up a kids user ID on XP and it seems like i cannot adjust their IE content to be different than the parents IE content settings. Is that right? Can you not have different security and content settings for different users?

I just installed a new HDD & copied complete contents of old one using utility that came with the HDD. I have Office installed so use Outlook (not express) as default mail program; IE is setup to recognize Outlook as the default.
