I'm having "explorer.exe error" every time I try to open a folder, or control panel, or My Computer. The o.s. is Windows XP Home PT. This error detail is refering to shdocvw.dll, and I try to replace the file, but is in use, so is impossible to replace it.

I am using IE7 and have tried what seems like everything to get Autocomplete to work. It will not even remember searches typed into the broswer search bar, though it does in the google searchbar. Any ideas?
