Firefox has a nice feature called "search bar". It sits besides the address bar. Firefox feeds what you type in the search bar to your default search engine. I know you can type in the address bar in IE. If what you type is not a URL then a default search engine will kick in.

I am trying to open a pdf file which is on a web server ...so i click on a http link to the pdf file. it opens up IE and shows me file dialog box. I click on the save button. It downloads the file but IE shows Action cancelld page.
