When I start up IE, it opens up to my homepage and everything seems fine.  If
I try to click on any links, open a different webpage, or a new window, the
program automatically closes down - with no error message.
This is the case w/ either IE6 or 7.  IE6 is built into Windows XP, ...

I recently installed XP Home, and WMP9. I got sound, but no picture
- it wouldn't play videos. I now have installed WMP11, with the same
result. Can anyone explain why I can't get video? My Real Player and
VLC player play videos with no problems. Any help is appreciated.

I use a brower to log in into a site, click some links, some buttons and
enter some text into textboxes and submit forms. The process is repeated
tens of times and it's the same flow. It's time consuming to do this

Ultimately, my goal is to type "google" in the address bar and have the

What it WAS doing is when I typed "google" it would bring up a search page

Installed IE7. Was logged on (administrator) and had IE open. My son wanted
to check his email so I switched users and went to his Windows account.

Can someone please tell me where on my hard disk I could find location for
the addresses that appear in Address Bar dropdown list? I want to back them
up and transfer them to a new computer. I need the exact location.

this usually happens after I type in one letter...I then close the program
and it gives me the program "end now" message which I click ok on and I have
to re-open.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I work in a high tech company and we have ODB++ files which are in the file
format *.tgz. When we download them from our internal web via IE winzip

Have just installed IE 7 and when I click on a 3rd party link within an email
message nothing happens. When using IE 6 the click always produced a new
window showing the page.
Is there some setting required to make IE7 respond the same as IE6 always

I have a machine here that is not picking up on background colors from websites;
so, for instance, a page with black background & white text, shows up as plain
white.
I cannot find a setting anywhere to adjust this -- anyone have any ideas?

does anybody know how to deactivate only the popup of the content
advisor.
I really want to use it (Content Advisor), but i don't want the Popups.
And I also don't want to install a Popup-Blocker on each machine.
