High can anyone help - i try to transfer photo's onto a cd through windws media and the system wont allow it it says cannot complete the cd writing wizard. It says that the cd is not blank etc. which is wrong. I also cannot burn video through my windows movie maker - it prepares ...

I inserted the office CD in CD drive, it didn't start automatically, I neither could see it when i double clicked my computer. How to proceed to install office. thanks for the help.

I keep getting the "Updates are Ready for my Computer" message. I did update and got IE 7, which I have now uninstalled. The notification did not tell me what update I needed until it was downloaded on my computer. Should I disable the automatic updates to stop this notification?

I am unable to run applets with IE6.0 after I upgraded Java VM to their latest version J2SE Environment 5 Update 10. When I open such web pages I am getting message: "Several Java Virtual Machines running in the same process caused an error".

Installed IE7- didn't like it and reverted back to IE6. Now I can't open flash (SWF) files! What could have gone wrong? Am I missing a setting somewhere?????. Help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks and Happy New Year to all. Jo Ann

Since I received my new laptop (Dell E1505), I noticed that Dell seem to have replaced the default IE6 search window with its own. The search results are displayed in the main window instead of the search window as with the default.
