I have a desktop connected directly to hub/wifi and a laptop which I
sometimes connect directly to the network but mainly via the wifi.

I am working on Win2K Pro. Due to some reasons, I had to repair the
Win2K installation which completed successfully.
Now when I am trying to install IE6.0 (from a CD), the setup aborts at

When I select the "Internet Explorer" desktop icon (the one installed by the
application, not a shortcut) a "Shortcut to Internet Explorer" icon is

I'm aware of the usual practice of deleting temp Internet files to re-enable
being able to rt click on a web page & viewing it's source code but on my
computer it only works for half a dozen pages before it once again gets no

an IE problem and can't figure out what the problem is. My internet
works great and I have no problems there. I can view any webpage in
Firefox, but nothing in IE loads, except my work intranet. My work
