Can anyone direct me to the steps for enabling the option to run Windows Update? It is disabled on our corporate LAN and I believe it has been done in the group policy settings.

I have not been able to resolve this issue. The OS is Windows XP Professional and is up-to-date. The problem is that the browser freezes upon opening. It takes about a minute after opening before the freeze occurs, but then after 30-45 seconds the freeze is released.

In most any IE web page the content overlaps, text is too big or too small, and the page is too wide. I do not have this problem in Netscape,Firefox, etc. This problem came on suddenly so it is most likely something I screwed up
