My computer freezes up when I try to use Internet Explorer.  I have to use

i've got a new laptop with IE 7 on and when i open my email, pictures that
people have sent me will not show up. All it shows is white boxes with a
cross in the corner saying the image number. any idea of how to fix this so i

Unistalled Symantec AV prior to switching to McAfee.  Now I cannot see
certain buttons, esp "Download" on any site.  Also, Windows update will not
load.

After uninstalling Symantec AV, went to download my McAfee subscription, but
all the download buttons do not show.
Also, Win Update will not run.

When I installed ie7 it brings up the main page and says it's Connecting but
just hangs.. I reloaded ie7 install from MS but it did the same thing. All
this time Firefox works OK. HELP!!

Researching this issue, it seems to affect a lot of people and goes back to
around 2003 w/no solid fix or answers.
I'm running Win XP sp2, IE6 and Outlook 2003. When I click on a link in
Outlook, it can take up to 30 seconds for IE to open. Sometimes Outlook goes

almost every search sends me to a 3rd party page, much like Xupiter used to.
I've tried spyware removals, removing IE and reinstalling, nothing works.
