Sometimes but not always, when I click a link, IE will take a long
time to load the page.  It sometimes takes 30 seconds to a minute to
load a page which normally loads immediately.

I was prompted by windows to install updates which I did. I have windows xp

I have Windows XP and IE 6.  When trying to download a  big file, a window
popped up stating IE cannot finish download connection has timed out. Is
