Running XP SP3, IE7.0.5730 While attempting to install SP3 MS tech support reset all settings in IE7 to default. Now when I open IE I get a screen that says Thanks for Choosing IE7. I have to scroll through 4 selections and then hit the save button but

After I installed SP3 my shortcut for IE6 vanished as did iexplore.exe from c:\program files\internet explorer. Ixplore turned up in Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386 and in Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Downloads...

I have "again" lost trail to a previous message I posted on a newsgroup. Meaning its not in any current view. I know there is a way to locate and/or reload these messages so could someone please tell me how.

When clicking on a link in a page to listen to audio the player popup window doesnt stay open to be able to start there is no popup blocker enabled everything is up to date even wmp but none of the page that stream audio work. if we open thew media player it will stream online ...

I had many favorites bookmarked, but now when I open favorites in IE, it says "empty." I think I must have deleted some files on the computer by mistake and accidentally removed the favorites. Is there any way to get them back?

I have installed the Chinese language pack and that was ok but even though I have the keyboard set as English I get popups (legitimate) in Chinese. As I have no idea how to read them I am quite frustrated. I also installed Hebrew but it does not do any of those things.

I get a message that Internet Explorer is currently running with add-ons disabled. If I click on Tools (Manage Add Ons) is in grey so I can't access it to enable the add on feature.

I can double click *.pdf files in file folder and view PDF files. But I can not view PDF files in IE7, I just see a small cross sign on left top. How can I fix this problem.
