Having trouble with my IE 5.5; JAVA not working; etc; How

Suddenly I'm unable to activate IE.
All I get is frame of the IE page but nothing in the page.
Nothing happens when I click on tool bar icons.
I can't even collect Windows Upgrades now.

I would try to get onto a website and another website
would pop up.  (ex. I would try to get into www.nba.com 
and www.cnn.com pops up).
How do I fix this problem?  Please help!

office.microsoft.com, i receive a partially opened page
with missing context and a in lower right corner of the
screen there is a sign of exclaimation on a yellow sign

Quite a while ago I set up a password for the Content
Advisor.  I tried to go into Advisor & Setting Limits,
however it is asking me for my password and I cannot
remember it!  I want to reset restrictions but I cannot

REcently I have received an error report when opening
Internet explorer. When I send the report and it trys to
reopen internet explorer it doesn't work and gives
another error report. i then opened netscape navigator to

When I select Internet Options, the "GENERAL" tab is
missing - thus I cannot change my homepage / does anyone
know how to fix this issue?

After selecting "Address Bar" in Tool Bar Options, I
should get an Address Window for typing Web addresses,
but I don't; what I get is a dumb button named Address;
you can click on this button until the cows come home;

I am running windows xp and have now got a dial up fault concerning my
password,every time I get the dial up box to connect to the internet I find
that my password has been changed and isn;t recognised by my Isp,I erase the
password and replace it with the correct one and dial up ...

in the IE right click menu, there is a option to 'Create a Desktop Shortcut'
this places a link on the desktop. but is there a way i can change that
location, or better yet add another menu item to place the link someplace
else like a folder, or another drive altogether?

Keep getting "page cannot be displayed" & server errors
when surfing web. Also printer won't print, keep
getting "script error 237 permission denied". Someone
suggested trying to repair IE at setup/add-remove/IE &
