Similar to Don Cornish below, my homepage keeps
reseting.  I have Windows ME,IE 5.5 SP2.
633mhz, 512Dram
 There are (3) things that are going on:

Are you able to upgrade from IE5 directly to IE6?  And if
so, where on the MS site can I download the full .exe
rather than using an Internet shortcut?

Recently, I restored my o/s (Windows 95) and experienced a
strange problem with Internet Explorer 5.50 SP 2.
Previously, the menu for "save as/save as type" offered
four choices:

I use MSIE 6.0 version. Had been viewing news online on www.msnbc.com
for long time and I was fooling around with a cookie wall program and
next thing I know ... I was able to go to www.msnbc.com  but although

Internet Explorer won't launch.  I don't know what
happened.  I have another program that has a web browser
with it and it works, so I know it isn't a connection
problem.  Any suggestions????

Is there any way to prevent IE from popping up the message
"Your security settings do not allow ActiveX, therefore the
page may not display correctly."  [Other than enabling
ActiveX]  ?

I had some spyware/malware which I had removed using ad-
aware , spykiller. But this problem was occurring before I
had even checked for the spyware , and I cannot verify
everything that was deleted, since this is a family

If i open ie 5.5 it opens in a small window, if i
maximises, it gets a bit bigger,but it pops up to the
right side without any scrollbars, very stupid and enoying
problem :-(

9 out of 10 times when I attempt to download ANYTHING
(which includes programs from Microsoft.com), I am
immediately taken to a page that displays the following

I recently downloaded IE 6.0 and after that when I open
Internet the page just freezes sometimes the home page
comes up but after that it freezes again.

I have a PC here that is doing something very strange.
Whenever you try and print anything that has HTML in it
(HTML Outlook messages, Web Pages etc) the following
dialog box message appears:
