I've posted this on other newsgroups and web sites, but haven't gotten a
difinitive answer, so I'll try here. My problem is after my harddrive
crashed and burned I replaced it with a new one. I reloaded Windows 98SE
and all of my hardware. I used the Wizard to set up my dialer, but ...

This update never gets installed after about six attempts. It never shows in
the add/remove window. I keep getting the microsoft request to install it.
I'm using Windows 98se. Anyone have a fix?

When I try to open Outlook Express in Windows ME I get a box that pops up
and asks for you Identity.  It won't let you switch identities or create a
new one and OE will not open.  I tried several things from Microsoft
website, but didn't have any luck.

I want to use my Outlook address book as the default
address book in Outlook Express.
How do I achieve this?

the messages have the date format like this:-

i would like it to display it as follows

I have downloaded as much as I could posts from a NG (ar3 - McNeal).
Since the folk out there seam to be as much helpful as it gets the NG seams
to be the perfect place for learning how to use the product.
Problem accured in moment the dbx file reached 1,5 Gb.

I am receiving email spam.
The subject is blank and so is the message.
I tried to creat a rule to delete these messages with no luck.
Seems there is no way to create such a rule.

i just had to format and reinstall windows. before doing so, i copied the
entire contents of my application data/microsoft/outlook express folder,
assuming that if i just replaced the new folder with this one, all my
messages would be saved. unfortunately this didn't work.

It would be appreciated if you could advise me why is it that several emails
are being sent when the option to Save a copy of messages in the 'Sent Items'
folder is selected/checked.
When this option is unchecked, emails are sent normally.

Need a little help with a small problem.
   On our other PC, our news messages would update even though that
particular group wasn't being read. I have ticked the sync box in several
locations, but I still have to go to another group or somewhere in my inbox

I run Win2000 Pro. My system was wiped out by one of those variants of
that damned CWS trojan, and I had to do a clean install. I was running
a dual OS, so I was able to load Win98se, and save my Outlook 5 address
book to CD ROM (as a WAB file).

Using windows me.  When using outlook express, when you click on a hyper
link in an email internet explorer does not open the hyperlink.  It used to
work until a few days ago.

For the last two days I have not been able to receive/send any emails at my
Hotmail account using Outlook Express - although I have no problem checking
them through Hotmail's web site.
