Can any body advise how to recover emails and the address book from a
computer that recently crashed?
The hard drive is fine. I have put it in an external HD case. Operating
system is XP Pro.

dated 1/19/2004. I'm sure there were messages since then. How would I get

OE warns me when I respond to a newsgroup.  I don't ask OE to stop warning
me about that for a perverse reason:  If I don't get that warning, then I've
mistakenly emailed a person instead of the NG.  That mean I need to amend my
post with an apology for communicating directly ...

I am setting up a new computer for myself. Is there a way I can export my
outlookexpress subscribed newsgroups & settings(watched posts etc..) to the
new machine?

When clicking on the name of a newsgroup in msnews.microsoft.com or
news.adelphia.net,  a dialog captioned "Outlook Express" opens with the
message "An unknown error has occurred."
When I click the Details button, I get:
