When I now go on the microsoft.public.windowsxp.general newsgroup, the older
messages come up with a "Message is no longer available on the server". I

When doing a mail check Outlook Express opens, the modems appears and
connects automatically to the server.
I then get a message saying the following:

I am missing two lines from the 'options/maintenance tab' of outlook express
6 (sp2).
1. 'compact messages in background'
2. 'compact messages when there is [x %] wasted space.'

The "delete" icon is gone from the main toolbar; if I re-instate it, it
appears inactive. Delete not available from the File menu. Resettting the
newsgroup so all messages were erased and re-loaded does not solve the
problem.

I received an e-mail with an .exe file attached.
OE has blocked access to this attachment.
Is there any way to retrieve it?
