When I start up Outlook Express, Windows Messenger also starts up.  I don't
want it to do that.  But I don't want to completely remove it, for the
infrequent time when I want to use it independent of OE.

I can open attachments that are jpg images etc: but I cannot open Word
Documents.
Word is installed on the computer.

I've setup my newsgroup account to get 300 headers, but when I synchronize
my account to Get Headers Only it grabs every header in the newsgroup. So
far it's taking about 12 hours for 400 newsgroups and it's still going. Is
there a way to speed this up?

I cannot send messages.  At least the recipient is not receiving. I've done
a test and sent one from one of my accounts to the other and didn't receive
it.  There are no error messages; they just don't make their destination.

Is there a way I could reclaim all the space used by Outlook Express? I
created a folder called "Backup" under Inbox and moved all the messages to
the "Backup Folder". I assumed after running Compact, it will shrink the
