I'm getting an error message:  "Outlook Express:  The Address Book failed to
load.  Outlook Express is incorrectly configured, please re-install."  This

I use OE6 to access NGs on a WinXP-Pro/SP2 machine.  I'd like to create
shortcuts in either Explorer or an MSWord doc to NGs I subscribe to.  Is
that possible?  Easy?  If not links, how about a WSH script to present a
list that I can click to open OE with focus on an NG of ...

When I click on Sync All, OE shows a window with the download progress.  Then I click on hide and try to do something else.
However, the window keeps reappearing periodically and interfering with what I am doing.  Is there any fix for that condition?

I am on Win XP x64 and since I moved to that operating system I have been
unable to get attachments from newgroups with OE. The files (zip and jpg) are
there and I can save to disk but the zip files are empty and I get an error

My computer was running Win98.
I have installed XP Home.
I did not "update" 98... rather I installed XP as a clean install.
I still have all the files from the 98 installation.

When a new E-mail is created  the spelling can be checked. However the check
is available in English. It would be very convenient if other languages too
could be selected. Unfortunately I don' t see how to achieve it and my
question is : is there a way to select another langauge ...

I have some messages which constitute a record of communication for a
group I belong to.  I want to transfer the messages to a Word document
without opening, copying and pasting each message.  Can I do that with
some feature in Outlook Express?

In most of my computers i drag and drop a files to make the attachment and
the file is located under the subject box... but in one of my computers I'm
unable to drag and drop the file on the space under the subject box, it is
only accepting the drag and drop in the messagge body.... ...

OE is exhibiting strange behaviour: it takes over 10 seconds to save 2MB
worth of attachments divided over several files. this happens when saving

No matter how I try to change it, when I "create a message" my default font
is always Ariel 10 pt.  I prefer Times New Roman 14 but all of my attempts
in Options, etc, do not hold.  Can anyone help me solve this big nuisance?
