I'm not able to completely receive all of my emails. My error msg reads
"your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for

when Outlook express is being used, widnwos messenger icon appears in
notification area.  how can one disable that?
I thought there is an option iin Outlook Express that I can change, but
failed to find it there.

Does anyone know how to set up outlook2003 or MSN in order to be able to

a question. When opening a Word document attachment, it opens and
immediately I get a runtime error and the word program closes. The other
message I get at the same time is Abnormal program termination. Any

I have a baffling problem. I have A Dell Dimension, 1meg Ram , 2 HD ( one
500GB/one 300GB) and use Bitdefender  9 pro security suite.
As my email I use OE 6.
It's been months ago that on and off my computer crashes when I send an

under tools, options, maintenance, I can click to change store folder.
However, when I choose a network folder, the OK button becomes grey
(inactive).  I can use explorer browse to that network folder, create and
change files in there.

I am running OE6 (6.00.2800.1123) under WIDOWS 2000 SP4 (5.00.2195), from
data taken from the "About... "
Inbox, Sent Items and Deleted Items folders are emptied regularly and never
contain more than a few messages. "Offline compacting" is executed regularly

When I open an attached file such a Word doc or an Excel xls, then want to
save it to disk, using Save As defaults to an IE  folder.
Then I have to select C: and drill down all the way through my folder
structure to wherever I want to keep it.

I'm using OE 6 for POP.
I wanted to leave my mails on mail svr after downloading it.
But it keeps unchecked by itself at least once day on the setting for  "Leave a copy of mgs on Svr".

I have just upgraded to the version of OE that comes with XP Pro SP2.  There
seems to be a difference in the way it handles pictures.  I know how to insert a
picture, and I know how to attach one.  Problem is now whenever I attach a
picture it also inserts one in the actual ...

I've been having recurrent problems probably by corruption of my main
identity in OE6.
I'd like to know if OUTLOOK is more stable in this matter
