Often I get a message asking if I want to compact my email to save disk space. if I select yes, it it my understanding the messages are saved as a .dbx file I have a problem when I try to open the dbx file, how do I go about

Are hyperlinks disabled in email? Whenever I click a hyperlink in an email I've received, it takes me to a folder on my computer. It didn't use to be this way. Sure, I can copy and paste, but that's not convenient, especially when I know the link is safe.

When ever I start OE, I get the message ... Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX on this page.... may not display correctly. I must have inadvertently changed something. Can someone help here please. Much appreciated

I have OE6 in an XP Home laptop and am connected via a home network to cable broadband. All this works fine. Every now and then, when I try to send or retrieve messages in Outlook Express 6, it won't do it because it tries to dial out instead of connecting
