Why does the "Contacts" list in the lower left window on Outlook Express not
correlate exactly with my address book?  Some new contact go there and some
do not.

Hi. I know this is sounds like a stupid question. However, if you might not
think so I you had come as far as I have with OE and the microsoft
newsgroups.
Basically, my settings are set to check all messages when synchronizing.

I have a friend that just bought a new computer with winxp on it.  he
wants to copy his email and address book from the old win98 machine.  does
anybody know where to find the files?  I tried looking in the
    Program Files/Outlook Express

All the sudden in OE its not showing all the messages in a newsgroup.
For example this group, my OE view says "Show All Messages"
In the folders next to microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general it shows
(2095)

I am using OE6 in XP Home.
I am often annoyed because when I would like to search for text within an
opened message, the "Text in this message" part of "Find" is grayed out.
Why is always grayed out and how do get it active?

Sometimes I get quite big attachments in my mail - XLS spreadsheets.  Is
there a way I can selectively delete the attachment from a note?  I don't
want to do it globally because there are times I may want to keep smaller
attachments, but these huge spreadsheets just waste space.  ...

I am trying to find Outlook express Service Pack 1 to download and can't seem
to find it.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I always use Outlook for my hotmail e-mail, yesterday the Auto Updated
"updated" few thing on my laptop inwhich 1 update is for Outlook - Since then
I can't not use Outlook (2003) to acess to my hotmail therefore in the mean
time I have to switch to Outlook Express - my problem ...

My Outlook Express has quit responding.
When I click on the Outbox folder, I get the message:  Outlook Express could
not open this
Folder.  Possible causes, low disc space or low memory.  I have O/S ME, 255

I have a friend who tells me that when he gets an attachment he gets a
message to say Outlook Express has hidden the message for security.
How does he get  rid of this arrangement?

When I try to Compact the folders via the Maintenance window in OE it fails
with the error " Folders File in use by OE or another program"
Have shutdown everything except OE but still no luck.
Anyone able to advise on this problem

I cannot export or backup anything from my OE 6!
When I try to do the command (doen't matter what format I choose), this
error message appears:
"The export could not be performed. An error occured while initializing

When I try to send mail in OE6 the "username and password" pops up
repeatedly. The "rember password" box is checked but greyed out

or do I have to export account by account?

I use OE6 and XpSP2. I have all patches and updates. I do not use
mcafee
When exiting OE, MSIMN.EXE stays in memory., If I relad, I get another
copy, and on and on.
