I'm not sure what is causing my Outlook Express to continually open and check
mail even when I have it closed with the check mail option set to 60minute
intervals.
Writing this question is a problem since OE seems to over ride anything I am

Friends, suddenly every message I open in a separate window in OE has the
above message tagged to the title of the message.
Why is it there? and, can I get rid of it?

I have multiple accounts (Gmail and Yahoo) on Outlook.  I added another Yahoo
account.  I was prompted for the password to the 3rd account- repeatedly-
even though i typed in the correct password. I also checked if I got the
incoming and outgoing server wrong- but its correct ...

When I 'create new message' the account used to deliver (and the 'from'
address) is the 'default' email account as expected.
When I forward or forward as attachment, then a different account is used
(it is the third of six accounts in the list).

I guess I should have backed up the files.  After upgrading from Windows ME
to XP Home Outlook Express wouldn't start.  Not sure of exact source of
problem but the worst part is that the .dbx files are nowhere to be found.
Is this by design?  How does one re-install Outlook ...

Several of my folders are no longer showing under local folders.If i do a
search for .dbx files in windows explorer I can see that they do still exist
.How do I get them back under local folders ? The missing folders are the
largest ones, I presume this is significant.

i made a rule in outlook express to remove news messages older than 10 days
ago.
when i select a newsgroup and click on apply now it works fine.
i want to find a way for this rule to work automaticly say once a week

I've moved from one ISP to another and need to move selective email folders,
or messages, to the new ISP. Is there an 'easy' way to move selective
folders and messages?

I have 3 accounts on Outlook- Gmail, Yahoo and Hotmail. How come the Gmail
and Yahoo accounts are grouped together under 1 inbox whereas the Hotmail
account has its own inbox etc.

ok, last week I had the problem of the attachments not opening, got that
fixed with a new identity......but I think this is now the second or third

Our office as a large number of OE EML files we've saved as template replies
for correspondence.  When we open the eml files they used to allow us to
enter the "To" recipient field and then send the message.
Since we applied patches yesterday OE no longer opens these messages in ...

I am having a problem with another program (MaxExchange) working with
Outlook Express.
Everytime I start the program it says: "Could not start mail. ...you must
have a MAPI or VIM compliant mail system installed on this machine".

When a message is referred to there is a line like "xxx wrote in  message
yyyy". When I click on yyyy Outlook Express tries to download the original
message. It has never worked. It always states that the message has not been
found. I know that the original message is there ...

I just reloaded WinXPSP2. When i get messages in OE6 with pictures or
graphics, all I get is the frame and a little square with an x.

How to change the Outlook Express mail to store at the other partition ?  In
order to prevent the original partition corrupted.  I still have my mail
which it will not be lost.
