I am allowed to get .doc-attachments, but not .pdf attachment. How do I allow getting pdf-attachment when using Outlook express? Or is this something outside OE? reidarT

XP Home, SP2, OE 6.0 The background of a received email was a soft pink or light chartreuse, and the word/ type color was blue.

I just applied a couple of Windows updates and Outlook Express is acting differently. I have Outlook Express 5.50.4807 and running Windows 2000 Pro. Used to be if I clicked on a binaries image message in a NG, the whole thing would open in OE.

I am using OE6 for posting messages to news groups. Although my e-mail address is 'modified' a news group member was able to send me a message to my e-mail address anyway (a response to one of my posts which should have gone to the appropriate news group).

I have been pretty successful with hierarchical spam filters. I have been using Yahoo POP3 accounts for years. I have determined that yahoo is doing a pretty good job of identifying spam and puts it in the Bulk folder online by adding a line to the message header

Can anyone tell me where the OE address book is stored? A friends system board died but I managed to backup all the data from the HDD just before it expired. I'm now in the process of extracting the data from the backup image to import to his new PC.
