I am allowed to get .doc-attachments, but not .pdf attachment.
How do I allow getting pdf-attachment when using Outlook express?
Or is this something outside OE?

I just applied a couple of Windows updates  and Outlook Express is acting
differently.  I have Outlook Express 5.50.4807 and running Windows 2000 Pro.
Used to be if I clicked on a binaries image message in a NG, the whole thing
would open in OE.

what's the type library that parses .eml files to display the email
message in OE message window?
for a vb probject; i wud like to use the library to more easily get
email message fields (from, subject, datetime) from a lot of .eml

I accidentally deleted some emails and empitied the trash bin, is there a
way to recover them?

Okay, I recently had to delete the main user on my Windows XP computer,

I am using OE6 for posting messages to news groups.  Although my e-mail
address is 'modified' a news group member was able to send me a message to

I have been pretty successful with hierarchical spam filters. I have been
using Yahoo POP3 accounts for years.
I have determined that yahoo is doing a pretty good job of identifying spam
and puts it in the Bulk folder online by adding a line to the message header

Can anyone tell me where the OE address book is stored?
A friends system board died but I managed to backup all the data from the
HDD just before it expired.  I'm now in the process of extracting the data
from the backup image to import to his new PC.

In Outlook, I can set a preference to return to the Inbox after deleting an
open message.  In Outlook Express, I can't find a way to do that, so when I
delete an open message, it opens the next message, rather than returning me
