When I used to send pictures as attachments on Outlook Express 6, it used to
ask me if I wished to resize the image (which could have been 2MB in size)
so that it would make the image smaller and faster to send.

We have lost all our contacts and when we try to reply to an email or open
our address book/contacts we get an error message that says we need to
reinstall the address book.  Anyone know how to do this?  We have gone to the

If a new email is created offline and saved in Draft folder when it is sent

There was some confusion.  When I did the "add,"  the Microsoft server name
was **automatically** inserted in the **existing** Msnews account as well.
I didn't unsubscribe, subscribe etc.

I noticed Microsoft has IE 7 which is looking okay so far, but will they also
do a nice face lift for OE as well? I'd like to see a better templating
system for business users and the addressbook is strange to me.
Any word on Outlook Express updates?

Every time I close Outlook Express, a window pops up and offers to "compact"
my messages.
I do not WANT to compact my messages.
How can I prevent that  window from appearing?

My Outlook Express has started freezing up when it begins to download new
messages. Then nothing works, can't use Control Alt Delete even.  I have to
power off to restart my computer.  Until I go to Outlook Express and try to
get new messages, my computer, internet, everything ...

For a year or so, we have been using Outlook Express linked to America Online
mail, generally with satisfactory results.  Recently, we found one piece of
new mail in AOL (there may be more) that did not show up the OE imap inbox.

Here's one for the book.  When I left click on a link in the preview pane of
OE, it opens my Documents and Settings folder.  This has survived restarts
and cold boots, and first appeared about a week ago.  It happens regardless
of the sender of the link.
