The button to select Outlook Express as my default messaging program is greyed out. How can I configure Outlook Express to make sure it is my default messaging (email) program? I'm using Windows XP SP2 and IE6. Thanks.

Outlook Express says this upon opening, you are not connected to the internet, work off-line or try again....once I click try again, everything is fine.... Why is it not recognizing me as being online when I am ? helpppppppp lol

The spell checker has a dictionary that it uses to determine that there is such a word. Acronyms, abbreviations, etc. are treated as misspelled words, since they aren't in the dictionary. Is there a way to add these words to the dictionary whenever I click on

On occassion i send a reply to a message and it doesn't save a copy into the sent folder, eventhough the option is enabled and there are recently sent messages in the folder. It is boggling because it seems to happen when i write detailed and forceful replies regarding important ...

I have had to fetch the old Micron P II - 450 out of the barn and fire it up again because my other MoBo died. This is running win98 and has OE5 and "had" IE5. I kept the OE5 but dumped the IE5 in favor of Firefox.

I used to get all the postings from days to months. Now all I get is only the last couple days. It seems like if the postings are 4 or 5 days old, that they delete themselves. Any Ideas???? Thank You

When I try to delete certain messages from my Outlook Express 6.0 in box, no deletion occurs. If I open the message and hit the X up top, I get a display saying the message could not be deleted. This started 4 days ago.

I just set up a brand new ThinkPad laptop to pull down my Hotmail into Outlook Express, and I set it up precisely as my old laptop was set up. Everything works great, except that I cannot delete messages from any of my folders (including my Inbox). I get the following error:
