offer confirmation20 Aug 2006 15:43 GMT1
My apologies if this is the wrong group to write to, but....
I am bombarded at least once a day with messages informing me that I have
been chosen to receive a free plasma tv, or a notebook, or a Circuit City
gift card.  You name it and I've 'won' it.  I rarely open the messages.  ...
Selecting non default e-mail for recipients20 Aug 2006 04:40 GMT2
When I create a new message and access my address book, I can only see the
default e-mail address for those that have multiple e-mails. If I
right-click and select Action > Send Mail To I'm given the alternate e-mails
but it always creates a new message instead of inserting it in ...
OE6 Address Book failure - another one20 Aug 2006 02:20 GMT16
I have a client with Windows XP SP2 Home all properly updated.
Everytime the client tries to open .eml files or use Outlook Express
he/she is getting what is probably the now infamous "Unable to load
Address Book - Outlook Express may be improperly configured."
OE6 newsgroup locks up20 Aug 2006 01:05 GMT4
WinXP OE6 email works fine but the newsgroup freezes when I try to access it.
I must go to task manager to close OE6. The info shows the program is running
and waiting for a reply, but nothing happens.  I am thinking of downloading
OE 7 beta rather than trying to fix the ...
Message Header rules19 Aug 2006 23:39 GMT4
Is there a way to create a rule to examine the message header, to be able to
determine the X-Spam-Score for example? Although I have no way to check, I
believe Outlook Express for Mac has this possibility.
biblical dictionary for Outlook Express and Microsoft Word19 Aug 2006 17:42 GMT6
Is there such a thing as a Biblical terms dictionary I can add to my Outlook
Express and Microsoft Word so I don't have to keep hitting add to dictionary
which fills it up fast so that other words cannot be added.
How do I delete all the posts in one shot?19 Aug 2006 04:09 GMT10
When I click on a newsgroup folder say msnews.microsoft.com I see Newsgroup,
Unread, Total, Synchronization ...... etc.  Do the messages under "total"
actually take up space on my harddisk?  How do I remove them so that I can
synchronize again with "headers only" checked?  Is ...
Add Contacts to ldap Directory19 Aug 2006 00:26 GMT1
I have access to an ldap directory that seems to function like a centralized
address book - it doesn't seem to be tied to UNIX server accounts. It's easy
enough to search for people and copy contact info into my OE address book.
But how do I add new entries? Thanks in advance for ...
ROT1318 Aug 2006 23:43 GMT6
I've just recently noticed that OE will no longer decipher posts
made with the ROT13 format.  The command is still there up in the menu
bar, and it's not grayed-out, but it does absolutely nothing.  I've
tried re-installing SP2, which supposedly includes IE and OE latest
Transfer Address Book with Groups18 Aug 2006 20:16 GMT1
I am trying to move my OE 6.0 from my Dell wtih XP to my Sony with Windows
2000 and OE 6.0 (I say this as I am not sure if this makes a different.  Apps
are the same, but OS are different.)
I moved the email with no problem.  Now I want to move the address book.  I
