OE 6. Been screwing with this for years. If I reboot the computer numerous
times it will finally open. What the easiest way out of this. BTW: I've
tried all kinds of stuff and so far the problem always returns. Someone told

My inbox in Outlook Express 6 (Win XP SP1) has about 4000 mails with
tons of attachments. But when I look in my store folder the inbox.dbx
is only 60KB.
I tried copying about 2000 mails from another box to the inbox, closed

I used to have tabs at the bottom of my OE emails and I could change the
HTML etc around to suit. Very useful when onforwarding email.
Now that I have gone to XP that option has disappeared.
Anyone know how to get it back?

I have a new computer that I connected to a home network.  I am trying to
move the OE6 mail files from the old computer to the new one.  However when I

I am a newbie here so forgive me in advance of anything wrong. I am
running Win2000. When I open up oulook express6 and login, my emails
download. The problem I have is immediately after the download stops,I
get an outlook message that says it can no longer find the gmail

should I be configuring my antivirus software to *not* scan my outlook
express data files (all the .dbx files)? By not scan I mean tell my AV
software to exclude it from it's 'real time scanning' and any manual or
scheduled sweep scans I do?

would like to know what happens when that limit is reached or exceeded?  The
Microsoft article ID #903095 states that the maximum file size of the .dbx
files that are used by Outlook Express is 2 gigabytes ...
