I used Tom Koch's vbs script to use a WAB on a network drive (F:), but it didn't work. The script ran and said the new WAB was set, but in fact OE still brought up my local WAB. Nothing changed. Is there a problem using a WAB on a network drive?

As with past versions, I have set the UseOutlook registry key so that OE
uses the Outlook address book.  However, something keeps switching this
back.  Is this a known issue with anyone else and is it OE or Outlook?

Suddenly, I am unable to see my Inbox/Deleted Mail., etc folders using
Windows Explorer. As far as I can get is C:/Documents and
Settings/Owner/Application Data but nothing is listed under Application
Data. I was always able to see the folders even when "show all files"

i'm wondering if the email, in say a hotmail account that, that is available
thru outlook express makes this email any less private when working on a
network versus hitting hotmail in a browser inside this same network?
i just dont' want to have my person email easily readable

I use OE only for newsgroups (We use Outlook for email).
Is there any way to synchronize OE for use at home and work?

I would like to delete all messages in my subscribed newsgroup that have
been sent to multiple newsgroups. The idea is to filter in only those
messages sent to that particular newsgroup. Bcoz they are likely to be more

when i run outlook exspess, it crashs before it satrts, and get the message  
a problem has occored ect, i report the error, but then dumprep takes up all
my cpu resorse and hangs up, i have left it for an hour and still no joy.
this has only happend in the last 24 hrs,

I am getting the bellow error when I try to view some mails. it gives a link
to download or says press space, but nothing happens. Does anyone know what
can cause this problem and any way I can retrieve these mails.

Yahoo search has just appeared on my OE toolbar.  There is a magnifying glass button and a button called "web search", both of which open up IE to Yahoo Search when clicked on.  
How do I remove them?

Why does the OE newsreader delete messages that I post (indeed, entire
threads in which I have posted) but not any other messages? Example: I post
this message. Within a few days to possibly a week (depending on the NG
posted to), using Ctrl-H to display my messages results in ...

I did everything you recommended but Outlook still doesn't open and yes, I
am running Windows XP home edition..  Any other suggestions?

All was well for years.  No recent changes that I am aware of, but when
attempting to Send, I get a  timed out error.  Receive is fine.
The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'cavemen.net', Server:
'mail.pvtnetworks.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket

When I click on send/receive nothing happens. I can see the button push in
when I click it and  I can see the hourglass appear for a split second but
the hourglass immediately goes away.

If I block a sender is that mail returned?  If not, how do I block and have
the mail automatically returned to sender?
