I replaced an ancient Windows 98 machine on my home network with a brand new

I have down loaded the new IE7 to my laptop but my PC still cannot do. I have
tried disabling the antivirus,firewall, and webroot but it comes up with the

Since I upgraded to IE7, when I click to shutdown a window via
the X button in the upper right hand corner, it now takes several seconds
to remove the window. Is this something new in IE7 or something
wrong with my computer?
