I have subscribed to the newsgroup "microsoft.public.windowsxp.general".
Recently that name in the folders on left side comes up in red colour.  What
does that indicate?  Also I sent a message to the group twice but it did not
show up?  Why?

When I have a pps attachment OE tells me I don't have a program assigned to
that type file.  But in Explorer I have assigned PowerPoint Viewer and when
I doubleclick pps files there they open in PP Viewer.?  Any ideas?

OE 6 won't send out my email. Says no socket. Error: 11004, Error Number:

Somehow, my mother has started receiving all incoming emails in a strange
font and I know the senders did not send them in that font.  It seems that
something has happened that "writes" all incoming emails in an italics font.

In the past when I highlight a picture, click on "Email this file," a new
box pops up asking me to either "Keep pictures original size or make them
smaller."

I have Outlook Express. When I go to click on any links to websites within
the emails, nothing happens. The webpages do not open up...nothing happens. I
noticed this problem after I did the Windows update...Can someone please let
