Saving OE messages as - not saved properly in Explorer28 Jan 2007 16:05 GMT13
(I have posted a very similar post in this NG before: my problem has since
recurred and not having had a solution out of my first post, hence this
post.  I hope it is allowed to stay)

I've just installed a DSL Router for my friend who is running OE 6 on Win XP
SP2 with IE6.
The computer has picked up the gateway fine (ipconfig /all output is
correct) and the Broadband is working. However, when Outlook Express is

Does anyone know how to keep the toolbar icons up when running PGPkeys? When
I maximize OE or open a window to create a new message, the toolbar icons
aren't there. I can click on the left of the toolbar and they come up, but
they're gone the next time I need them.

A friend of mine has been using OE for several years and wants to move over
to Outlook.
In OE he has numerous folders and some of the dbx files are over 200mb.
Before doing the export would it be worthwhile taking the time and effort to

I had heard there was a way to create a folder to drop files into. and
when you did drop for instance a video file into it, a script would run
and convert that video to a specified format and copy it to another
destination.

I work in a small office with 3 computers connected to a server.
I am using Outlook Express.
Incomming mail is set up as pop3 mail.secureserver.net
outgoing is smtp.swbell.net

When I receive a link to an internet url, clicking on it does not open IE to
that page.  It does nothing.  Any ideas?

Under language it shows French.  How do I get back my english dictionary?

All of a sudden all links in my email messages received aren't working.  
Nothing happens when I click them!  Nadda!
Please, somebody tell me there's a solution to this that I'm just not
thinking of!

Time was, when I would click on the Send/Receive pull-down menu, I could see all
my identities listed, and get mail from each.
For some reason they are gone from the pull-down menu. Any ideas on how they can
be put back into that menu?

I have win XP. I went to check my email OE6. When I click read mail from
win. a box in the task bar below shows up saying OutLook Exp. which is normal
but it is orange now and stays orange. I now have to hit the send/recv.
button in OE to get mail and another box opens up in the ...

I have a friend who I only contact via email and he has a problem with the
list showing in box./ sent/.drafts./ out box etc not appearing.
I have asked him to go to Views and click on 'layout' but all he finds is
'show all messages'

Windows XP Home, 100% updated.  The file list when you go to attach a file
to an email in OE is backwards.  You sort it correctly, then next time it's
backwards again.  All lists elsewhere are fine INCLUDING the file attachment
list in Outlook.

When I receive mail  into Outlook Express, most go to the in-box like they're
supposed to. Quite often though, some messages will go to the deleted folder
(without my having opened them or sent them there). How can I prevent this?
I'm out of ideas.
