My wife and both use OE. Many of her emails are ending up in my inbox. Is
there a setting that will separate our inboxes?

I've recently become aware that when OE compacts the files, there is
some copying going on, but there's no clue as to what's being copied or
where it's going.  I've also noticed that, upon completion of
compacting,  the Recycle Bin now has .bak files of everything in OE.

At random times when I right click on a link to open a new window as a tab, I
find that ALL the windows disappear and I have to start again with the
Internet Explorer desktop shortcut. This is getting very irritating when you
are in the middle of a search and lose it all.

Normally when you respond to a email or news it puts the response at the top of the message. My Outlook puts a response on the bottom. How can I make it go back to the top?

I can't tie this problem down to any specific change or occurrence in the
computer, but all of a sudden I had my newsgroups start acting strangely. Of
the various groups that I would check on a daily basis, I starting to get
messages saying that virtually any message that I went ...

Before you say it I am at work typing this and not at home, as my home
connection I cannot seem to retrieve any newsgroup headers (or groups!)
I have subscribed to 2 news servers to see if this is a news server issue

My hard drive died so I had to reinstalling windows XP professional. I ran
the restore from "documents and settings" NTbackup and have been able to
import my emails and folders however I can not seem to locate or restore my
email account settings. Can anyone help?

All other folders are capable to delete their content but not Inbox!

I tried to uninstall OTL Exp. but no use!
Of course I created new folder "For Deleting" and move in it and delete it

I tried removing damaged Pop3uidl.dbx file by deleting it off my hard drive
(I didn't find my Identity's store folder), but I continue to receive

Today an Outlook Express update was installed.  This update reset my Outlook
Express to the Main Identity.  When I attempted to switch identifies I was

My folders.dbx has grown to over 1gig, is this normal.
Can anyone tell me what is stored there?
Also can I safely delete it?

Lately some of the keyboard shortcuts (control-C, control-V, delete, etc.)
aren't working in Outlook Express so I have to use the menu or toolbar.  
Also, when I create a new e-mail, the tab key doesn't work right -- instead
of jumping to the next field, it'll just tab over in the ...

I have a new computer and the dictionary on OE is in French, how can I get
