How do I insert background pictures that I can type over for messages? I see how to put in stationary but how about a wider selection of pictures?

Despite no changes, when I try to send an email with an .dss attachment an error message window appears ( but no error message ). OE appears not to send the message ( but the recipient does get it ) and the messgae goes into the Outbox so when I next open OE it tries to send the ...

I use Win XP Home Edition and OE 6 I use several PCs. Can someone be kind enough to tell me how do I set all of my incoming/outgoing messages as all "read" (finished reading) without having to select each mail one by one?
