the delete button has no effect when I try to delete messages in inbox,
outbox, or
sent folders.  When I try to drag emails to the deleted items folder, I get
an error window that says "Message cannot be moved.  An error has occured".

At outset, OE6 working perfectly in XPpro, for mail as well as newsgroups.
Asked MSN phone support for procedure to export HotMail address book to OE.
Was told must first install MSN ... THEN could export from MSN to OE.

My OE says I have 800 deleted messages.  When I look in the file there are
less than 100 deleted messages.  Can anyone tell me where these 800 files are
and what I need to do to clean this up?  I'm very confused!

Is there a freeware tools that can delete duplicate message?
I accidently imported an entire *.dbx backup and now my OE6 have duplicate
messages (some are triplicate).

I corrupted a huge newgroup database (DBX file) and whenever I select it
Outlook Express 6.00.3790.1830 times out and gives the generic error
0x800c0131.   I normally resolve these kinds of problems by deleting the DBX
file, and by "unsubscribing" the newsgroup, then recreating ...

FYI: It would appear that the newsservers that handle MS newsgroups are
having some issues. I'm seeing posts in newsgroups accessed via the web
interface that I'm not seeing in my newsreader (OE).

Recently, all my received inbox emails are blank; even the subject line says
“Sender Unspecified” I have also tried outlook 2007 and are also blank.  I've

When reading my hotmail account with outlook express it lists each new entry
twice. If I delete either one of the messages, both messages disappear.
It only does this with the hotmail account, not my Cox email account. Is
