How do you stop outlook express 6 asking if it can compact its folders. It wants to do it every few days and if I say no then it just asks the next time I use it. (10 min later!) The actual compression takes sometime and can be annoying when you are busy.

Running WinXP and OE6, with SP2. Just got an email showing I sent it to myself----from me to me. Never saw the content, didn't have anything to do with sending such an email. It was spam.

I have a special folder with a word doc attached to each email. Time to get em out of OE so I can search the contents of the various docs. All the docs have the same title unfortunately so I can't search by title. Whats the best way?

In Outlook Express Ver. 6, address book folders are incorrectly sorted in the drop down box present in the "Select Recipients" window that is displayed when the "To:" button in pressed while using the Create New Mail action. Does anyone know of a way to correct this?

I can't read any messages. The "Send/Receive" icon on the desktop is grayed out as is the "Tools>Send and Receive>Receive All" item on the toolbar. The only way I can force a read is to Exit and Reactive Outlook Express. ...

I am a computer professional and have never seen this problem before. Occasionally I receive an email in OE6 which I can NOT delete. It will not delete by normal "Edit" menu action nor will it let me move it to the DELETED folder. Compacting also has no effect. Any idea WHY and/or ...
