I was backing up some dbx files a few days ago and since then I've been
unable to get my pop3 email via outlook express. I'm on MSOE 6.00.2900.2180
running in XP SP2.
Here's the situation:

I have a problem combining and decoding large files.
I am using OE 6.0 and windows XP.

When starting a Windows 2000 server we are getting a system message that
says no default mailer is selected and some waiting mail cannot be sent.
We never installed Outlook Express on any accounts on this computer.   It

I open OE 10 the newer for my version of Windows and the mail slows and runs
slow with things not showing up. What is the deal and can this be fixed?

on outlook can you send mail to others besides cc..that way were others
cannot see who it is sent to

Our production manager sends an HTML email out through Outlook 2003 several

Today I am getting an error that says; 441 posting error (You are not
allowed to post!),  when I try to post to a newsgroup using my Easynews
account.  I can post okay with my Road Runner account.  How can I fix this?

I have Windows XP Home. I use Outlook Express as my email program. I have a
number of accounts set up in OE. I have checked the box that says to
"include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing." For a long time
it worked fine. But lately there is a problem.

when conducting a "find" of all the postings in my newsgroups, all of them
are not being displayed.  Is there an update availble to resolve this issue?

I have a local mail folder with about 150 messages in it. I would like to, say, keep the
most recent 10 and backup the others, before deleting them from inside Outlook.
What is the best option ? Making a copy of the relevant "dbx" file or, as I read
somewhere, create a new "eml" ...

All of a sudden when I try to open Outlook Express I get an error message and
the program closes. I have run my spyware and virus checkers and found
nothing. What do I do next short of taking this to the Computer Nerds.

I have uninstalled & reinstalled IE7.

We have a small network of 4 computers. One can access email &
newsgroups, the others just suddenly stopped connecting to the ISP on email
   They all run through the same ADSL modem via the network.
What I have check so far,

I often hear other email clients being touted as being safer than OE
(Thunderbird, Opera, etc.).  OE may be as safe as *it* can be, but is there
anywhere a study showing it's safety compared to *other* email clients ?
