I have an HTML newsletter that I want to send out to thousands of people,
which I know can be simply done in Outlook Express.
My problem is, I need to personalize them so that it goes "Dear ____" and

Lightning hit my wife's computer, so I "loaned" her my dedicated
scanner machine, and created a new user.
When I log in as her and try to run OE, it just hangs.
When I change user back to myself, I can log in and send and receive

can someone tell me how to fix the above error message. Also when Im
compacting, I get the following error during compacting:  file is currently
in use by OE or another application.

Is it possible to set Outlook Express to synchronize the newsgroups and
download all new messages every X number of minutes?  Right now I'm having
to click Synchronize Account periodically to do this.

When I try to open attachments that are pictures sent to me, I get this
message, " This file does not have a program associated with it for
performing this action.  Create an association in the Folder Options control

I received an excel spreadsheet as an attachment.  I altered it and saved it
as an .xls file using the name engineers.  Now I cannot find it.  The search
function cannot find it.  Any ideas?

Sometimes when I forward attachments I have received, the recipients do not
receive the picture only a red X.  I know I can save the attachments and
resend in a new message but then the captions are not sent.  Is there

Just for the last few days my OE6 causes my PC to disconnect from the
Internet while it is polling my Hotmail (HTTP) account for new messages.
It always occurs during the "Download all messages from 'Inbox'" phase after
the "Check for new messages on 'Hotmail'" phase has completed ...

can be typing an email reponse to a post i have received.  but, as i am
typing the response, outlook express 6 will freeze and i cannot continue the
email or send it.............only option is to close outlook, thereby losing
my response and must then start over.........
