for some reason, all of a sudden when i right click on an attachment to save
it to my hard drive, the only option it gives me is a file format of
'attachment *.*'.  i used to be able to save all kinds of attachments; .jpg,
.pdf, whatever came along.  i've unchecked the box in the ...

contents of the delete folder but my problem is dfferent - I can't delete
read items (get messages into the deleted folder)

Hi. I am trying to see all the message headers in a particular newsgroup. I
have tried synchronizing all messages, headers only, etc and OE only shows a
few hundred headers, not the 50934 unread shown in blue next to the
newsgroup name.

Some how I accidently deleted the deleted folder and it doesn't show up.  I
tried deleting messages and nothing happens.  I even created a "Deleted"
folder, which I knew wasn't going to work, and it didn't.  I did a search for
Deleted Items.dbx and found the folder but I have ...

When other people are allowed to use your PC, how do you prevent them from
being able to see your Outlook Express email?  We have Windows XP.

I seem to have lost the facility of attaching background midi music (via
format/background/sound) to emails I send. The file I select is listed when
I check, but there is no sound. Earlier emails in my Sent box still play the
music with no problem.
