New incoming e-mails going into Folders not indicated on In Box03 Nov 2007 18:13 GMT5
This is a new occurrence. Prior to yesterday, all new emails were indicated
by a numerical change on my In Box, even if they were sorted into a Folder.
What's happened?
XP Pro, SR2 ++, OE 6, Office 2003, all updates current (Office updated again

I get quite a lot of junk mail
One such has the following characteristics.
From line contains characters which are in upper ASCII character set
Presumably it is of some language like Hindi, Snhalese, Japanese  etc etc.

After many years of using XP Pro SP2, our system has developed some very
annoying habits. I did all the usual things to try and fix it, like
registry cleaners, defrag, disk clean up, etc., but if anything, made it

I have a few folders essentially behaving as Inboxes, other than the main
inbox. They are all on the same level as the Inbox, and message rules are
applied to incoming mail so that mail goes to them according to which
account it comes from.

a friend insists my e-mails are the only ones he gets lots of "script errors".
I, in turn, send to 40-50 people, and only three have these errors, and one
is behind a company firewall and can not even open any attachments.
I am told those getting the error messages should change ...

When sending an email it is not being saved in the sent dir even though the
feature has been selected in the "options" "send" "save"  tags.

Cannot send and receive messages.
Logon window pops up asking to enter username/password when they are already
entered correctly.

Since I updated to IE7 I cannot open attachments to my emails without saving
them first and then opening them. I get the following message: "Windows
cannot open the specified devoce, path or file. You may not have the
adequate permissions to access the item." I imagine it has to ...

I have installed office 2007 on my PC which has Vista as the operating
system. It does not have outlook express installed. I have some .dbx files
from a previous computer. Can someone help me to import them into outlook?

I can select the file, for example .mid and insert it, but it will not play

e-mails addressed to other people.  The addresses are not similar to mine.

My elderly neighbour just called with an OE problem.
When he shut down last night, system asked him if he wanted to compact his
OE files. He said yes, but apparently only for Inbox and Deleted folders.
Today when he started up, only messages in Inbox are a few that came
