Just recently, when I open an attachment I receive message do not have
correct format to open.  I am told check folder options to use correct
format.  I have looked at options but have not been able to change format.

Have outlook express for many years now and just last week, the program locks
up when receiving new messages.  When I click the receive/send button, I get

When I try to start OE (clicking the icon) (WINXP Pro SP2, IE7)  I get a
very rapid double 'ding' and OE doesn't start.  When I try a second time OE
starts.  This only happens the first time I try to start OE after a cold

I'm using OE6 with a Dell I1100 under WinXP Home SP2.  I get my mail through
msn.com.
Occasionally (but more frequently recently) my Inbox shows duplicate
messages.  When I delete one of the duplicates, it acts normally, but the

I deal with msn.com, which is an IMAP account.  I don't know what IMAP
stands for, but I understand that my Inbox (and others) stay on the server,
and messages are not downloaded during Send/Receive, as they were when I
dealt with att.net.  Message rules understandably work on ...

I want to keep my old emails, it seems Outlook express is only saving 30
days, the same as AOL.  What setting do I change to keep the emails from
disappearing after a certain number of days.
