Until last week I double clicked on my office attachments and they opened. Now I have to download the file to the desktop and then open it. Does anyone know what I am missing here?

In OE6 under Tools/Options and the Read tab: Does Reading Messages refer only to messages in the Inbox? Does Fonts refer only to News messages? In OE6 under Tools/Options and the Compose tab:

I've had several appends on this problem and still have no solution. Saw lou68@ptd.net append of 1/29 and it got me interested in finding the solution. His appends end with the solution being that IDForOE fixed the problem. In an email decussion with the user I found that

More often than not when I click on 'reply' to an e mail in outlook express 6 it shuts down O E completely, really frustrating. Retrying with the same e mails does the same every time! What can I do to stop this, it is all up to date, no viruses or spyware.

Windows XP Home SP2 and OE6 I can still receive the odd spam mail (although this has reduced considerably) but I can not receive mail from people in my address book. I read a similar thread from Mark JD in which Bruce Hagen gave some advice

XP Pro SP2 (SP3?), IE6, OE6, Off 97 Pro SR2b I'm using two separate accounts, Limited and Admin, on my computer. Does a Limited User Account need full "write" permissions (..., write attributes, write ext. attributes) to add to the CUSTOM.DIC properly?

When I start up OE now there is an Icon for a label program. I use this label program in word (2003), but Word does not carry this Icon, only OE. How can I get rid of the icon from OE.
