My hard disk crashed and the data is not recoverable. I had backed up the email files externally when OE compressed the files. However all of the *.dbx files were backed up as *.bak files. Is there any way I can recover them?

If I want to find something in a group using Edit/Find i can only use it once at a time. What I mean is if I wanted say to find my name "Kenny" in all the posts in a group I do Edit/Find "Kenny" and it will find one instance of "Kenny" then

I have a Dell I1100 with an HP 2610 printer under IE7. My daughter has a Dell I2500 with an HP 3210 printer (newer than the 2610) under IE6. We're both running OE version 6.00.2900.2180 under WinXP Home XP2.

When trying to get the list of newsgroups (Newsgroups>Reset list) from my ISP (Plusnet) iOutlook Express will download about 27,000 or so and then it freezes. Ctl/Alt/Del is the only way out. Has anyone any idea what's going on?

When I try to send a newsgroup post, I have OE to check the spelling automatically. Recently I have found that it stops on nearly every word, and suggests French words. In Options it shows that the French dictionary is selected,

I upgraded to XP and OE worked, but att changed there web set up and know it will not starte. All i get is a sound (BELL or ding), but no message. All my emails and address book is now out of my reach. can someone help. Thanks
