Got a strange OE problem this morning.   Power up my WinXP computer and went
to OE.
Normally, I have a list of newsgroups and local folders with Inbox under
local folders.  From there, a number of different message files.

What would I put in the server boxs, pop and smtp?  It asks for incoming
(POP) and outgoing (SMTP) and there is a box.  What would I put there so I
can set my email box up on this laptop?

I have the problem, that whenever I click on a link in OE I only get a
browser window complaining about an illegal address and indeed the URL
always reads: res://ieframe.dll/syntax.htm#
Now, I have tried misc. tips that I found re. this issue, like those

I once had a routine for backing up/ restoring  the OE database. I can't
find it now. Can somebody please help. Thanks

I have been using Outlook Express on this desktop since April 2003.  Now
Version 6.  Last Saturday, March 22, it all of a sudden lost access to all my
old messages and now only accesses e-mails that were received since 3/22
until today, 3/25.  By checking my directories I can see ...

I have 500 email addresses in a Works database.  How can I get them all into
a group in my OE Address Book without having to retype them?  Thank you!!!

Using OE6 to read mail from Roadrunner and Hotmail.  All of a sudden, it
will not let me delete msgs in the Roadrunner inboc.  Just says "Cannot be
deleted".  The Hotmail inbox still works fine.  Any Ideas???

I´m new to the list and am having this problem, which I can´t understand.
I can´t delete messages using the delete icon, neither using the keyboard
delete button or clicking with the right mouse button and selecting delete.
Has anybody gone throughr this problem before?

I'm having multiple issues here.
On both of my computers, I am having trouble downloading sent messages.  We
get an "unknown error" message, and then nothing shows up.

I just changed my computer.  I plugged my old hard disk on the new
computer (Vista) to get my data and I'm looking for the contacts I had
in Outlook Express in my old computer (XP). I found a .wab file, but
the last modification date is in 2006, so it's not the right one.
