My hard drive recently crashed.  I was able to get my data and OE6 store
directory/dbx files.  But when i try to import them onto my new computer, i

I am having a most difficult time configuring Outlook Express to read the
news. Under Accounts, Add, General I typed in "msnews.microsoft.com". No
check boxes have been checked on any tab. When attempting to subscribe I

I have Windows XP and use OE.  From time to time when I'm trying to send one
email to one recipient, OE will send that email 29 or more times.  I have not
been able to find any solutions by Googling the problem.  I have not been
able to figure out any particular characteristic of ...

In OE6 Is there some way to delete (remove) an attachment from an email
without deleting the email itself? When I save an email it also remains in
the message.

When I send emails from Outlook Express, I get an error message, “The message
could not be opened from out Outbox folder…” etc., etc. However, after a few
seconds, the message does go out. BUT, the recipient receives the email
twice. I have 3 computers using the same email ...

Again I want to thank all who helped me with this frustrating problem
(thread= weird .dbx problem).
There is, however, ONE more thing!
In solving the problem, I did create a new identity & transferred .dbx files

A friend of mine has recently started using Outlook Express and I now find
that some of her incoming mail causes an error message to pop up.  This
message only appears when she uses "Reply" from a message I had sent her or
sometimes when she forwards a message to me from others.
