I am writing from France, using OE and having a problem I

every time i read a message in outlook express i get a message that outlook
express has encountered a problem and needs to close. I send the information
to microsoft (as it asks me to) and then I get "msimn.exe has generated
errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to ...

Lately many times when I try to send an email I get a message " message can
not be send, an error occurred" I have to save it in the draft folder and
then send.

In some newsgroups, when I open the group, the preview panel goes to the
first downloaded message.
In other newsgroups, like this one, it goes to the first unread message.
I looked in options, but I couldn't find what causes these different

When i close a directory and close OE, the directory is open again when i
open OE.
How can i fix that?

Today, for the first time ever, on oe6, I received almost 1000 "returned
emails",saying undeliverable.  But, of course, I did not send any of
them.........anyone have any idea why this happened?  Charter is my
ISP.........

I am using OE V 6.00.2900 and have been looking for ages for a setting to
stop the system downloading files from the email server when using HTTP mail
I would be grateful for some help on the location of this setting please

I've decided to create a new identity and move everything from the old one
to the new one. Is there an easy way to duplicate the old settings, such as
the columns, the sort order, and the toolbar? (I'm thinking of screenprints
to show me what I had--if nothing else will work.)

On a new computer I've acquired email messages, stored them in different
folders and continue to receive new messages. I also have an achive file from
a previous computer that has old email messages. How can I bring the
folders/messages from the archive file into my new mail box?

My freunds HD could not boot, and therefore he bought a ney HD and installed
winxp-sd2.
I could copy all the *.ids and *.dbx files from Outlook Express on the old
HD and now wish to import/install/copy the files and mapps to use by Outlook

...unless I physically delete them from the Outbox.  Here's what happens
everytime I try to send an email:
When I hit "send" the email immediately goes to the Outbox, but I get an
error msg. that says, "Some errors occured while processing this task.  

I want to set up a rule or method in OE6, so that when an email comes in to
me on say, my gmail account, it will automatically be forwarded via a rule,
but will, instead send it out via my default (not gmail) account. Anyway to
do that?

can receive on oe6, but not send.  server errors noted, but isp says it is
outlook express and not them.  any reason why this would happen so suddenly?
have made no changes to settings.......

Is their a free program that will check your home computer OE 6 for mail
from a distant computer? Once email downloaded from server to local OE6?

OE 6 running very slow or locking up upon opening.
Have cleared most folders & compacted them, is there something else which
can be done to improve problem?
