WXP-Pro OE6 SP2
Is there a way to check OE 6 for mesg's. from a different computer away from
home? Mesg's already downloaded from server.

Starting today, I cannot send myself mail. Instead of coming in to the Inbox,
it goes straight to the Deleted folder. Mail from others works fine, and I
can send mail to others, just not to myself. Today I installed Windows Update
and Microsoft Update...does Outlook Express 6 now ...

The dictionary in my OE6 is of another language e.g a spell ckeck on
'dictionary' suggests 'dictionnaire'.
Spell checks in Word 2007 and Outlook work fine
Using Win XP Pro.

When using spell check in Outlook Express the program checks document using
the French Language.  Under Tools; Options; Spelling the only language listed
is French. How do I get it to spell check in English?

By "Default" on my new laptop, my Outlook Express Spelling Check
language is French  I am English.  How do I change the Spell Check
language?

Can anyone help. All of a sudden when I send test messages to myself they are
not being received in my inbox.  I send the same test message to other people
and they get it no problem.  Any ideas as to what has happened?

My friends HD could not boot, and therefore he bought a new HD and installed
winxp-sd2.
I could copy all the *.ids and *.dbx files from Outlook Express on the old
HD and now wish to import/install/copy the miles and mapps to use by Outlook

All of a sudden, with no changes to the computer, no new applications, 99% of
the time when I send an email, whether it's new or a forward, it will not be
placed in the 'sent folder' although this is clearly checked to do so.  
Further, the email 'appears' to stay in the 'out box' ...

Outlook Express
I've created a centralized data directory on my C drive. I want to store all
data in this directory so I'll have one location to back up.
How do I point OE to look at a new location to store and retrieve email

On another box of mine ( fresh install of XP SP3 ) I am having a very
bizarre problem :
In Outlook Express, for a new message it is not possible to give focus to
the message body text-box, ... and so it is not possible to post messages to

For years, the email notification alert worked. About 6 months ago, the
alert never sounded when an email arrived. I've gone to Tools, Options,
General and have checked the box for "play sound . . . "
I've also gone to the Control Panel and chosen Sounds, Speech and Audio

I recently removed my identity and created a new one with the same
name as the old one. Now I can't see my previous sent items. Is there
a way to retrieve those messages or were they permanently deleted?

   After running compacting on OE the .DBX files extension has been changed
automatically  to .BAK. Tried renaming the .BAK files to dbx but unable to
open the mails. Tried compacting again but no success.Kindly let us know how
can i recover mails from these bak files.

All of a sudden I cannot get the links in e-mails to open.  I don't know if
I inadvertently did something to change it or not.  Suggestions, please, on
how to correct this problem. Thanks
