Question about "Discussion Groups Home"06 Jul 2008 19:15 GMT4
Why do I find this discussion group with the word "public" in every topic,
and yet find another discussion group with language selection at the top of
the hierarchy, for instance the following link:

About a week ago I accidentally deleted a folder filled with family
sent/received emails and sent/received photo attachments.  Aside from
asking each individual family member to resend their copies and photos
back to me, how can I find and restore that folder from my hard drive,

I use 3 PCs in a home network. Two are XP/2 and one is Vista.  One of the
XPs is a desktop, the other two are laptops. Currently I do not have OE
problems with the Vista laptop.
When I open OE I receive 15 messages in Inbox. These are always the same and

Please help.  I am using Outlook Express 6.0 with Windows XP.
While OE compacting my mails in inbox the computer crashed.
Lost only about two years worth of incoming mails.  (sent mails
were 100% saved).

Is there a way I can import my messages from Thunderbird? It doesn't have an
export that I can find. OE doesn't have that one in it's wizard to import
either.

I know there's mail in my inbox (480 odd messages recorded at bottom of
screen) and I know mail is transferring from my service account to my Outlook
Express account. But I cannot see any mail in my Inbox!! If I run a search
for mail using 'find' I can see the mail. A random ...

"Help" says that I should look in my computer for a folder with .dbx files.

I'm trying to import Inbox.dbx in Win98 into OE6 from another location. I set up
a new Identity and copied Inbox.dbx to the new file store and deleted Folders.dbx.

I have a long history of unsolved OE6 crashes.   Running  IE6 OE6 and SP2.
Was advised in IE General NOT to get IE7 until I "fix" IE6.
Here's an example that happened yesterday.

I have just subscribed hoping it will resolve my problem.  I had several
Saved Folders in my O/E inbox but after my wife had been working on the
computer they disappeared.  I found them as .bak files in the Recycle Bin
but the text consists mostly of unreadable "square" symbols.  ...

Hello, we are using the Outlook Express 6 and this afternoon, all of the
email messages disappeared from INBOX suddenly? No email message there!? But
we find that the size of the INBOX.DBX is 2,097,109KB and which should be
the normal size.

I upgraded to Windows Live mail from Outlook Express and still have the same
proble as in Outlook Express.  It still returns the error:-
The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's
e-mail address. The sender's e-mail address was '*****@msn.com'.
