I am running WIN2K 4th update, latest code. I can neither send nor receive email with OE. Explorer runs fine, I can get URLs and updates fine. OE error Code 0x800CCC0E. Also running F-Prot and Zonealarm.

I always wanted to know that. How to delete message from any OE folder without the message being put into Delete folder? I tried using SHIFT+DEL but that does not work.

Lately, when I attempt to go to a web link embedded in an email, Outlook Express locks up. When I use Task Manager to get out, OE closes and the computer locks up, requiring a restart. Going to a link by any other means causes no problem. I'm using OE 6 on an HP laptop running XP ...

When all received messages have been opened and read, the "envelope" icon remains in the systray. This makes it difficult to know by looking at the screen if new messages have arrived. I have to reboot to get rid of it. Any cure for this?

I know that one can have mutiple accounts in OE6, and I have done that. And, I have also set-up rules for the messages to go to different folders, depending on what is on the "To:" line of the incoming message. However, I still have a couple of questions, as to

Currently OE shows the numbers of UNREAD messages in each folder.Is there a way for this program to show ALL the messages in each folder- be they READ or UNREAD. Thanks

My OE6 is misbehaving! I have 3 identities and when I switch identities the program closes and then won't open again until I restart my computer. I don't get an error message. My OS is XP and I recently upgraded to sp3 but I was having the problem

I read threads here on managing identities, and so I'm wondering if and how switching IDs may be advantageous. As an intl. advocate, I have mail all coming into one ID, now, into dedicated folders, but thinking about it, I may be missing a great advantage in OE.

I have my addresses in Outlook Express sorted in about 20 different folders. When I open the addres book the folders are shown in alphabetical order in the left column. But when I start a new message and click on "To:" in order to find the required addressee in one of the folders ...
