I understand that technically VPC is not supported on W2k3, and that VS
requires W2k3, but, at minimum, will the disk images be compatible? i.e.

Is there a way to know whether CPU activity on host machine is indicitive of
VPC doing something? When I bring VPC to the foreground, I get about 70% CPU
activity, but it does not appear that anything is going on. When I put the

I have tried a beta trial of virtual pc 2004 , and i have
had many  many problems .
One of the most important ones was when i installed emm386
running DOS emulated , and i got no support for shared

I was taking a look at the Virtual PC 2004 RTM (build 582) documentation and
I couldn't note that it is completelly unfinished.
All the images are missing and many links (like the ones at the
Troubleshooting section) doesn't work.

After the move I can no longer select text using the shift + cursor keys in

My host O/S is Windows XP.   My guest O/S is Windows 2003.  I have the
Loopback connector installed in XP and it seems to be working fine.
My host IP address under the Loopback is 192.16.1.1.  The IP address on the
guest is 192.168.1.2.

to boot from any bootable image nor a bootable Win2K3
